ENG: Written and composed by my great friend Maci, Io sono is the only cover of the album Icaro Felice.

From the first time I heard it played by Maci, I fell in love with it and immediately made an arrangement for guitar, drum and two voices.

The lyrics in Italian go straight to the heart with no uncertain terms. They invoke the power of the Sun that exists within each one of us and makes us the masterpiece that we are. When we manage to reconnect to that strength, it can give us enormous care and love for ourselves and for those around us.

The last verse of song repeats the Mayan greeting In Lak’ech, which means: "I am another you" or "I am you, you are me". If I harm you, I harm myself - if I respect you, I respect myself.

I invite you to sing this song inside yourself as a morning “mantra”, or in all those situations where you need the strength to believe in yourself.

ITA: Scritta e composta dal mio grande amico Maci, “Io sono” è l’unica cover dell’album Icaro Felice.

Dal primo momento che l’ascoltai suonata da Maci, me ne innamorai e ne feci subito un arrangiamento per chitarra, tamburo e due voci.

Il testo di questa canzone in italiano arriva dritta al cuore senza mezzi termini. Invoca la forza del Sole che sta dentro ognuno di noi e ci rende il capolavoro che siamo. Quella forza che se riusciamo a ritrovare ci potrà donare tanta cura e tanto amore per noi stessi e per chi ci sta vicino.

L’ultimo verso del pezzo riporta il saluto Maya In Lak’ech che significa: “io sono un altro te stesso” oppure “io sono te, tu sei me”. Se io ti danneggio, danneggio me stesso - se ti rispetto, rispetto me stesso.

Ti invito a cantare questa canzone dentro di te come mantra del mattino, oppure in tutte quelle situazioni in cui ti serve la forza per credere in Te stesso.
